Open letter to the OpenNIC membership
After years of atrophy, and months of silence on the mailling list, people awoke and arrived and started to refurbish the OpenNIC project in May 2007.
This letter provides a report on those activities, a vision of additional things to be done, and asks you, now, and again in closing, "How would you like to participate?"
Accomplishments
The following groups have been active, collaborating by IRC (#OpenNIC on irc.freenode.net), the Mailing List, and the new wiki.Auditing
Nagios Monitoring engine has been installed and configured to monitor all opennic root DNS servers. We currently have 3 members, looking for more!Hostmastering DNS
