This is the project page for the OpenNIC http://www.opennic.glue website. This project is being tracked at http://support.opennicproject.org/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=31 , all members of this project should send an email to tasks@opennicproject.org with the subject, Project Member.
Goals

- Cater for voting and other OpenNIC functions
- Transfer current user base to it
- Be the official place to count OpenNIC membership
- Have a forum function built in, not a seperate site
Idea
I would like to see this site focused around an OpenNIC search engine. This way it allows our users to easily search OpenNIC domains. This site should also have an iGoogle feel to it. By that I mean the site should be able to be customized by the user. The site should also have a T2 server status block for it. The current site uses Joomla, and people have suggested that we just mod Joomla to do what we want.
Project Tracking
As stated earlier, the OpenNIC support center tracks the progress of this project, and also records all correspondence in regards to the project. To successfully use the tracker, any emails sent in relation to this project should be directed at tasks@opennicproject.org with "[OpenNIC #31] - InsertSubjectHere" as the subject. This will ensure that any emails in relation to the project are kept. This is why it is important if you are apart of this project to send an email when you join to tasks@opennicproject.org.
