Note: Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004, at her home in Pueblo, Colorado. Susie died from complications of lung cancer, diagnosed in January 2004. She was 87. One of 14 children, Susie was born February 7, 1917, in La Garita, New Mexico, to Francisco de Sales Garcia and Maria Dolores Lucero Garcia. Mrs. Espinoza was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, who died as children; and three brothers; Simon ‎(1969)‎, Edward ‎(1999)‎, andPlacido ‎(2004)‎. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Seferino Espinoza of Pueblo; four children, Seferino Albert ‎(Garriel)‎ Espinoza, Pueblo; Genevieve ‎(Charles)‎ Force, Truth or Consequences, NM; Gilbert Anthony Espinoza, Louisville; and Marjorie Ann ‎(Michael)‎ McGinty, Longmont; 15 grandchildren, Annamaria, Alberta, Dion, Debra, Jessilyn, Jason, Pamela, Karen, Isaac, Rosina, Sarina, Taryn, Tamara, Lacey, and Autumn; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-granddaughters. Susie is also survived by her sisters, Vidalia Cordova, Timmie Garcia, and Barbara Montoya, Rocky Ford, and Kathryn ‎(Fred)‎ Saiz, Boulder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Susie and Sef moved to Boulder in 1953; then moved from Boulder to CaAħon City in 1970, and then to Pueblo in 1972. In Pueblo, Susie remained a high-energy homemaker, devoted to her husband and making her home a welcome place for her children and extended family to visit. She was very proud of her home. Susie was a member of the ladies society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Rocky Ford, and was the last surviving member. Susie was such a beautiful person with a generous spirit, a great sense of humor, and a kind and loving heart. She will be sadly missed by many.
