After building two successful trebuchets in my garage, I got the idea to build a full-sized seige engine capable of hurling bowling balls and pumpkins. Because I live in town, the most important aspect of the design was the ability to disassemble and transport the entire structure. Also, since I had a low-paying job at the time, I had to build the entire treb with very little cash.
In 2003 my father-in-law fell victim to the lure of trebuchets, and together we began building my creation. With some excellent scavenging, we were able to collect nearly all of the materials from scrap piles. In the end, we actually spent more money on various nuts and bolts than was spent on lumber.

Construction plans for the tennis-ball treb coming soon!
