Revision [1972]
This is an old revision of TLDGovernance made by BrianKoontz on 2009-06-27 11:38:57.
Within the OpenNIC, a Top-Level Domain is an independent administrative body, responsible for governing itself and maintaining its own resources. TLD administrative groups are free to administer the TLD however they choose, subject to these restrictions:
- A TLD zone file needs www.opennic.TLD and opennic.TLD records that point to ns0.opennic.glue
- www.nic.TLD and nic.TLD should point ot the TLDs main website, which should also be the point of registration
- hostmaster@nic.TLD should be able to receive emails
